Wine Tastings / Events from the London Wine Academy

Our tutored wine tastings cover a wide range of topics and run throughout the year. They are fun and informative and you do not have to be enrolled on one of our courses to join in. We often invite guest speakers or winemakers from around the world to add to the program.

		PORT AND STILTON TASTING
		Who is this course aimed at? Port’s for life not just for Christmas. We aim to show you Port isn’t just for the festive period and posh alpha males! So if you like wine and have only dabbled or never delved into the world of Port, this is your chance. Our goal We want you to understand how diverse the Port category can be. You will learn how to taste Port like an expert, identify classic Port styles, assess quality and find out the best time to drink it. You’ll also be given food and Port matching tips from almonds and jamon to chocolate and ice-cream! Course Content Port has been shipped to London for more than 300 years and it has a rich past. We will discover its history, its unique vineyards and how Port is made. Our tutors will guide you through the different styles of Port and what makes them unique.
