Our Services

Gift Vouchers

A wine course makes an unusual, but practical gift. Should you wish to give someone a tasting course for Christmas or as a birthday present, we can send you a voucher, redeemable against any of our courses or tastings. We can either send the voucher and booking details straight to the recipient, or to you, allowing you to present it personally.

All of our Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. To overcome the difficulties in knowing another persons availability, you can specify an Open date for the voucher. The recipient can then choose a time/venue convenient for themselves within the 6 months.

If you decide to buy an open one day course voucher, the recipient can use it on any of our one day courses - the introductory One-Day Workshop, intermediate Classic Old World Workshop or the Wine and Food Matching Workshop.

Vouchers can also be bought for any value between £50 and £200 which can then be redeemed against any of our courses.

Order and Print your gift voucher online or alternatively contact us (phone/email/fax) and we'll email the gift voucher to you. Please allow 7 days if you require the gift voucher posted to you.

If you already have a gift voucher and would like to enrol on one of our courses click here.

Wine Courses

We follow the professional systematic approach to wine tasting and cover all the main wine styles, grape varieties and regions around the world. Most wines are tasted “blind” or unseen on our courses so that you learn to judge the wine by the taste in the glass and not just by its label. We aim to give you a better understanding and knowledge when choosing wines as well as more confidence to experiment and explore with new styles and grape varieties.

All our courses teach wine evaluation and how to assess quality. Ageing potential; wine and food matching; wine production; storage conditions; wine faults and many other burning wine issues are covered on all courses.
Tasting Events.

Our tastings cover a wide range of topics and run throughout the year. They are fun and informative and you do not have to be enrolled on one of our courses to join in. We often invite guest speakers or winemakers from around the world to add to the program.

One Day Workshops

The introductory one day workshop will give you a good grounding on how to taste like a professional. You’ll learn all the key wine styles and grape varieties around the world as well as when to drink, how to store and serve your wine. Over an informal lunch you’ll also touch on the principles of wine and food matching.

During the day you’ll get plenty of time to have all your wine questions answered. This course aims to give you clarity and more confidence when ordering wine in restaurants or entertaining clients. Our one day workshop makes an ideal present for anyone with a passion for wine. Come and have a great day out learning a new skill!

Old World Workshop

Our intermediate Old Wold Workshop will give you a better understanding and knowledge of the classic wine regions of Europe as well as aims to develop yours skills as a wine taster. Knowing which wines to order and which to avoid in restaurants should also give you more confidence when entertaining clients or friends. We’ll teach you how to taste and talk like a professional!

Do you find it difficult to make sense out of the Old World wine labels? Let us uncork the mysteries of the classic wines from France, Germany, Italy and Spain. Come and taste the interesting nuances and characteristics of the great wines from the Old World.

Can you tell the difference between a wine from Bordeaux or Burgundy? Which wines can one safely order in a restaurant and which are perhaps best to avoid? Are there still value for money wines out there in the Old World? Which vintages should be kept and which ones are best drunk young? Our Old World Workshop is the answer.
