Master Classes & Tastings : Wine & Cheese Matching Masterclass

Wine & Cheese Matching Masterclass

We’ve all been to wine and cheese evenings but matching the two isn’t as easy as it sounds. When you get it right, the combinations are lip smacking. Port and Stilton is the classic wine and cheese pairing but have you thought about goat’s cheese and Sauvignon Blanc or cheddar and Cabernet?

If not, and you have a weakness for wine and cheese (who doesn’t?), switch off Saturday Morning Kitchen and come and titillate your taste buds at the Academy.

Our Goal

Not only will you learn to match wine styles with cheese, the half-day course will show you how to taste wine like a professional.

We’ve teamed up with on of the great cheese specialist in London to serve you the best cheeses with top quality wines.

Our friendly, expert tutors will guide you through eight wines and cheeses so you can leave with the confidence to try new matches at home and impress your friends.

We will also give you insider info on up-and-coming regions, and finding the best bottle for your buck.

If this gives you an appetite for more, our Introductory Workshop is the next step. You’ll find out how wine is made, identify the classic wine regions of the world, and learn to spot a ‘fault’, plus much more.

Course Content

We’ll give you a basic introduction to wine tasting from identifying aromas to understanding tannin levels so that you are equipped with the tools to match wines with food. You’ll get to grips with the principles of food and wine matching, specifically wine and cheese pairings, through sipping and nibbling your way through the eight wines and eight cheese.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask your tutor any wine-related questions you may have during the course.
