Although the label, with its characteristic cordon rouge as a tribute to the Légion d'Honneur, has remained unchanged since the 19th century the liquid inside has undergone a revolution in recent years. The improvement in quality is largely thanks to a new and passionate young cellar master Didier Mariotti at the helm.
With a majority of black skinned grapes (the blend is 45% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier and 30%Chardonnay) this is a rich and structured wine with a lingering finish.
